Nuotit's auto-download system attaches rules to each smart playlist. Define which shows to include, filter by unplayed or download status, and set a maximum episode count. The system then downloads new qualifying episodes automatically — before you need them, without manual intervention.
A practical setup: a "Commute" playlist of unplayed episodes from three shows, limited to 8 episodes, downloading automatically overnight. Your queue is ready when you leave the house regardless of whether you have signal on the train.

Offline transcript generation
Cloud-based transcription services require an internet connection by definition — your audio file travels to a server, gets processed, and returns as text. When you're on a plane, in a remote location, or simply offline, that workflow is unavailable.
Nuotit's transcription runs entirely on the Neural Engine inside your iPhone or iPad. Once an episode is downloaded, the transcript generation process starts locally and continues in the background. The result is a synchronized, searchable transcript stored on-device — with no network dependency at any stage.

Downloaded libraries grow quickly. Nuotit provides several tools to keep storage under control without losing access to your content.

Settings shows a storage summary — how much space your downloaded episodes, imported files, and generated transcripts are using in total.
Batch delete
Select multiple episodes in any view and delete their downloaded files in a single action. Keeps episodes in your library while freeing storage.
Auto-delete played
Each show can be configured to automatically delete downloaded files after you finish an episode. Storage reclaims itself without manual attention.
Download limits
Smart playlist auto-download rules include an episode count ceiling, preventing runaway downloads from high-frequency shows.

Yes. Transcript generation runs entirely on-device using Apple's Neural Engine and requires no internet connection. Download the episode first, then generate the transcript — the process continues in the background. Requires iPhone 15 Pro or M1 iPad or newer.
How do I set up automatic downloads?
Each smart playlist has an auto-download option. Enable it, and set a maximum episode count. Nuotit downloads new qualifying episodes automatically. You can also set auto-download per individual show.
How much storage do downloaded episodes use?
A typical one-hour podcast at standard quality uses approximately 30–60 MB. Nuotit shows a storage summary in Settings and supports batch deletion of played episodes.
Does Nuotit require internet to play?
No. Downloaded episodes and imported local files play fully offline. Feed refresh and new episode downloads require connectivity, but all playback, transcription, and audio processing work without a connection.
